Information collected
This may include your name, email, telephone number, age range, goals, training history, availability, equipment, questionnaire answers, purchases, coaching records, check-ins, progress measurements, communications and emergency-contact details. Coach applicants may also provide professional history, qualifications, insurance status, business setup, availability and written interview answers. Information about pain, injuries, health conditions, medication or professional guidance is health data and receives additional protection.
Why it is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries; assess suitability; recommend, personalise and deliver services; administer purchases and subscriptions; provide client accounts and check-ins; assess coach applications and platform suitability; maintain safety and service records; handle complaints; prevent misuse; and meet accounting or legal obligations.
Lawful bases
Contract and steps requested before entering a contract are used for enquiries, purchases and delivery. Legitimate interests are used for proportionate administration, service improvement, security, record keeping and assessing applications submitted for platform opportunities. Legal obligation is used where records must be retained. Marketing emails are sent only where consent has been given or another lawful route applies, and can be stopped at any time. Explicit consent is requested before voluntarily supplied health information is processed for safe coaching decisions; withdrawing it may mean the service can no longer be provided safely.
Automated recommendations
The client assessment may suggest a route from the answers provided, but it does not make a legal, medical or similarly significant decision. Coach applications are reviewed personally by Jonathan; submitting the written interview does not produce an automatic acceptance decision.
Who processes information
Supabase provides private database and file storage; Resend sends service emails; Stripe processes payments and subscriptions; and the website hosting provider delivers the website. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by JK PROFITNESS. Providers may process information outside the UK using their applicable safeguards. Information is not sold.
Retention
Unconverted enquiry and unsuccessful coach-application records are normally reviewed for deletion after 24 months. Active-client coaching, health and delivery records are retained while needed to provide the service and normally for up to six years afterwards where required for legal, insurance, dispute or accounting purposes. Financial transaction records may be kept for at least six years. Unused access codes expire within minutes and portal sessions expire automatically. Records may be deleted or anonymised sooner where appropriate.
Security
Client, coach and owner areas use private, time-limited access. Application records, database tables and programme files are not publicly readable. Programme downloads use expiring links. No online system can be guaranteed completely risk-free; suspected incidents are assessed and handled in line with applicable duties.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. Identity may need to be verified. Contact JK PROFITNESS using the details above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
Online purchases, client accounts and coach applications are intended for adults aged 18 or over. Coaching for anyone younger requires prior discussion and appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
